A. TheADL's uses the CAN bus for it's communications, consequently you willneed to use a CAN cable to connect between the ADL and your computer.

An unfortunate legacy of the CAN cable is is requirement to beconnected to the PC's parallel port. For the parallel port to recognisethe CAN cable it must be connected to the PC when it is booted up and remain connected for the duration you wish to connect to the ADL.

If at any time the CAN cable is removed from the PC the PC will need to be rebooted.
